On Wednesday 27th November some of the Catch team headed up to The Salvation Army in Croydon to put food parcels together for Christmas.
The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian church and registered charity, which has been fighting against social inequality and transforming lives for over 150 years.
The Salvation Army expresses its faith through charitable action by working at the heart of communities across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. They have 750 community churches and social centres where they offer friendship, practical help and support to some of the most disadvantaged people in our communities.
We put together 150 food parcels which are made up of non-perishable items such as tinned food. The experience was very humbling, we thoroughly enjoyed helping and are looking forward to assisting again this time next year.
