Our Finance & Operations Director, Rose and her son Elliot, took part in the Rotary Dorset Charity Bike on Sunday 8th September.
The main charity for the event is Cancer Research UK, but Elliot was riding for Assert - a charity that supports people (and their families) with Angelman Syndrome. The brother of one of Elliot's best friends has Angelman so it seemed like an obvious choice to him.
Over 600 riders took part with routes ranging from 10 – 108 miles long around the Purbeck countryside. Rose & Elliot pedalled their way through 35 miles of stunning scenery through the Hartland Moor Nature Reserve, the New Forest and Lulworth. Rose & Elliot completed the 35 miles on mountain bikes which is no mean feat!
Since the event began seven years ago, more than £300,000 has been raised for the cancer charity.
