Infrastructure Engineer

Permanent Buckinghamshire £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + package

Our global end user client is seeking a Platform Services Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast paced project orientated environment. Someone who has only worked in a BAU support focused role wouldn’t be a suitable fit for this position. The Platform Services Engineer will be involved in a high number of new development projects across the group infrastructure including their online ecommerce platform. This is a highly technical role and requires someone who thrives at delivering on time, quality solutions.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience/understanding of cloud technologies
  • Experience working in a project-based environment
  • Strong understanding of PowerShell and SQL
  • Strong knowledge with at least 4 of the following technologies:
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016
  • Microsoft SCCM / SCOM
  • Cisco/Meraki Networking
  • Azure / Azure DevOps
  • Office 365 / Exchange Online
  • Akamai
  • Splunk
  • CI/CD Pipelines
  • Experience of working in multi-functional teams
  • Good understanding of ITIL

Responsibilities:

  • Build and support both the on-premise and cloud infrastructure, including the eCommerce applications and supporting systems
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to increase the performance and security of the IT Infrastructure
  • Work closely with the security team to deliver and maintain secure solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues which occur within the Store Infrastructure as required
  • Monitor, support and maintain the Store Infrastructure in accordance with the Incident, Major Incident and Problem Management processes with a focus on driving down repeat tickets
  • Deliver new project requirements for the Store IT Infrastructure
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to increase the performance and security of the IT Infrastructure
  • Work with third parties to ensure the IT infrastructure remains security complaint, patched and backed up in accordance with company policies and SLA’s
  • Ensure environments are secure and where required adhere to PCI-DSS standards

Location: Buckinghamshire Candidates must be eligible to work in this country.
