Our client is seeking a skilled Power Apps Developer with experience in Dynamics 365 F&O to take part in their ongoing digital transformation initiative. This role is central to developing integrated solutions that will streamline business processes, utilizing Power Apps in conjunction with Dynamics 365 F&O. You will be working on the front line of app development, crafting tailored solutions that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our client’s operations.
This fully remote role offers flexibility and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge projects with the potential for extensions beyond the initial 3-month contract.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Power Apps expertise: Extensive experience in Power Apps development, including both Canvas and Model-driven apps. Strong understanding of leveraging Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service) as the backbone for app data storage and integration.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 F&O: Solid understanding and hands-on experience integrating Power Apps with Dynamics 365 F&O, including configuring custom entities, workflows, and managing complex ERP data.
- Proficient with Microsoft Power Platform: Experience with Power Automate for process automation, Power BI for reporting and analytics, and Power Virtual Agents for chatbot solutions would be advantageous.
- Azure cloud services: Strong understanding of Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure SQL for enhancing Power Apps and Dynamics 365 solutions.
- Database and reporting knowledge: Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSRS for building efficient data models and optimizing queries that support Power Apps and Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Development tools: Hands-on experience with Visual Studio or VS Code for development and customization of applications, alongside version control systems like Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment.
- ERP knowledge: Familiarity with other ERP systems like Dynamics AX, NetSuite, or SAP would be beneficial, providing you with broader insights into how Power Apps can interact with complex ERP environments.
- Data analytics and insights: Familiarity with Power BI and building complex datasets and reports to support decision-making within Dynamics 365 F&O.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Power Apps solutions: Design, create, and implement custom Power Apps applications that are tightly integrated with Dynamics 365 F&O. You will be responsible for ensuring that all business needs are addressed through robust, scalable applications that support process automation and data access from Dynamics 365.
- Leverage Dynamics 365 F&O: Utilize your knowledge of Dynamics 365 F&O to build applications that enhance existing business workflows, including finance, operations, supply chain management, and other core ERP functions.
- Seamless integration across platforms: Ensure seamless integration between Power Apps and Dynamics 365 F&O, focusing on leveraging Dataverse for data storage, Power Automate for process automation, and Azure Logic Apps to extend the capabilities of your solutions.
- Optimize workflows and performance: Work to enhance and optimize business processes by improving workflows through Power Apps. You will also focus on performance tuning to ensure that your applications run efficiently within the Dynamics 365 ecosystem.
- Use of Azure services: Utilize Azure Data Factory to integrate data from multiple sources into Dynamics 365 F&O and Power Apps, as well as Azure Functions to extend capabilities and handle more complex business logic. Knowledge of Azure SQL and Azure Logic Apps will also be highly beneficial in developing robust solutions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, including business analysts, finance teams, IT personnel, and department heads. You will translate business needs into technical solutions, offering guidance on the best practices for Power Platform and Dynamics 365 integration.
- Ensure data accuracy and governance: Implement data validation and governance protocols within Power Apps, ensuring consistency between Dynamics 365 F&O and the apps. Use Power Automate and Power BI for process automation and reporting, leveraging data from Dynamics 365 for actionable insights.
- Test, deploy, and maintain solutions: Conduct rigorous testing of Power Apps solutions to ensure they meet business needs and perform efficiently in a live environment. You will manage deployments, using version control systems like Azure DevOps for seamless release cycles and environment management.
