Our client, a leading UK-based manufacturing group is looking for an experienced ERP Business Analyst to join their central Group IT function. In this role, you’ll act as the vital link between IT and a group of well-known food manufacturing businesses, shaping cost-effective, well-designed, and sustainable solutions across a variety of initiatives.

You’ll work on both pre-project analysis and full project delivery, applying your ERP expertise to gather and define requirements, model business processes, and support functional solution design. Experience with any ERP system is welcomed, and there’s an exciting opportunity to get involved in a large-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 programme.

Key Skills and Experience:

Our client are looking for a confident and proactive Business Analyst with strong ERP experience and the ability to deliver high-quality analysis in a fast-paced environment.

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role, ideally within a structured project environment
  • ERP system experience (any system) — exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX or System21 is a bonus
  • Experience in manufacturing or similar fast-paced sectors is highly desirable
  • Skilled in requirements gathering, process mapping (e.g. using Visio), and creating functional specs
  • Comfortable working across the full project lifecycle, from pre-project analysis to post-go-live support
  • Understanding of structured methodologies such as PRINCE2
  • Driving license required due to multi-site travel

Main Responsibilities:

As ERP Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of IT business solutions across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Requirements Gathering: Capturing, prioritising, and securing sign-off for business requirements.
  • Business Process Redesign: Developing improved processes and securing stakeholder buy-in.
  • Feasibility & Options Analysis: Investigating solutions and advising on the best course of action.
  • Product & Supplier Selection: Leading objective selection processes with clear assessment criteria.
  • Business Case Development: Supporting cost/benefit analysis to justify new projects.
  • Solution Design: Defining functional solutions and aligning with both business and IT stakeholders.
  • Ensuring Solution Quality: Reviewing test plans and supporting the testing process to ensure robust outcomes.
  • Change Management: Supporting the business in adopting new processes to drive sustainable change.
  • Small Change Delivery: Managing and delivering smaller-scale changes effectively.
  • Best Practice & Continuous Improvement: Promoting high-quality analysis and staying up to date with the latest BA techniques.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining clear, standard documentation across all analysis activity.
