Payroll Programme Manager

Contract Milton Keynes £650 - £750 per day

Our client, a large end user organisation, is looking for a Payroll Programme Manager to assist with multiple areas of their business and their internal project. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a highly reputable organisation. The role can be completed on a primarily remote basis with only occasional requirement to visit the client’s offices in Milton Keynes.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience of complex Payroll Programme and Project Management (7 years +)
  • Experience of working alongside and leading both Payroll and IT professionals
  • Proven ability to bridge the gap between Payroll strategy, operations and IT system delivery
  • Extremely hands-on with the confidence and gravitas to manage stakeholders and multi-disciplinary onsite and virtual teams
  • Strong communication, social and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage budgets effectively
  • Some international travel will be required so the flexibility to do this is required


  • Experience with one of the following - Midland, Core hr, SD Worx or Pegasus


  • Programmed and Project Management accreditations - MSP, PMP, PMI, Prince2


  • Management of the product selection, design, configuration, testing and deployment of the solution
  • Leading the change and transformation activity to ensure alignment and adoption of business process and system usage
  • Stakeholder Management to CxO level
  • Create and track program and project plans, milestones, deliverables, and budget
  • Preparation of regular progress reporting and financial statements for the Executive committee
  • Overall responsibility for effective management of RAID and change control at all levels of the programme
  • Ongoing liaison with internal and external audit as required to ensure the solution meets required financial and operational legislative and quality standards globally and by country
