A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environment & Release Manager to join our client’s team in Gloucestershire. The Environment & Release Manager will work collaboratively across the business to ensure releases are delivered on schedule and within budget with minimal disruption to services. This role offers 80% remote working.
Key Skills & Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience of change, release and environment management in multi-company, international environments (multiple and shared databases)
- Knowledge of different delivery platforms; performance testing and user testing
- Working with multiple external service suppliers and implementation partners
- Service delivery and IS process (ITIL, Agile)
- Awareness and use of DEVOPS tools for Continuous Integration and Deployment
- Ability to operate at all levels of an organisation
- Proven stakeholder management
- Process capture management skills
- Record of delivering IS transformation
- Facilitator of process design workshops
- Good knowledge of financial admin and project budget/costing
Desirable:
- ITIL Framework qualification and experience
- Project management (Prince 2 Practitioner (pragmatic approach), Agile, PMI)
Responsibilities:
- Own Release Management strategy, policies and processes
- Rollout Release Management processes within divisional Competency Centre(s) and govern ongoing compliance
- Manage all Steam business systems project and program release management processes
- Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists
- Own Environments alignment strategy, policies and processes for business systems
- Set the rules around use of environments by multiple teams
- Manage and maintain the environments required by projects and programs during ongoing model development, global rollout and support
- Co-ordinate alignment of configuration, master, reference and transactional data across integrated business systems
