Our client, a large end-user organisation, is looking for a HR & Payroll Business Analyst who must have previous large scale ERP experience, to act as a bridge between the business and the Payroll and T&A Transformation Project Team to ensure that requirements are clear, solutions are cost effective, well designed and sustainable. The role can be completed on a primarily remote basis with only the occasional requirement to visit the client’s offices in Milton Keynes.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- BCS Certificate in Business Analysis (desirable)
- Strong experience of complex HR Business Analyst (8 years +)
- Experience with one of the following - Midland, Core hr, cronos, iTrent
- Experience of HR, Payroll and T&A systems essential
- Strong and proven ERP project experience
- Experience of working in blue collar environment an advantage
- Experience of working in a structured project environment essential
- Good understanding of structured project methodology (e.g. Prince2)
- Skilled in use of Visio & standard Business Process Mapping techniques
- Good knowledge of best practice techniques for requirements capture
- Experience of creating functional specifications, wireframes, data & process flow diagrams
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Capture, prioritise and obtain business sign off for requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of key future requirements and processes
- Develop new processes and ways of working and obtain buy in from business stakeholders
- Provide up to date process documentation for the business
- Investigate options and provide recommendations to facilitate informed decision making
- Lead and facilitate groups in defining business and system requirements, right fit for the business
- Where a new external solution is required, the BA is responsible for establishing a clear, transparent product and supplier selection process, with an agreed set of assessment criteria, so that an objective decision can be reached.
- Evaluate, analysis and build processes around new system
- Understand suppliers (vendor/s name) processes, configurations and security functionality.
- The BA is responsible for building cost and benefit estimates to support the justification for new projects and for establishing how benefits will be measured
- Partner with other business groups and team members such as IT, HR and team members to ensure all key elements and business benefits are captured and accounted for
- Define the functional solution and obtaining buy in and approval from business owners and Group IT.
- The BA is responsible for reviewing test plans and providing input and assistance to the testing function to ensure that test plans are comprehensive
- Resolves system issues, identifies root causes and determines the best course of action
- The BA is responsible for working with the business to ensure that process change is successfully adopted to deliver sustainable business change
- The BA is responsible for managing small changes through to delivery
- Responsible for delivering high quality business analysis, sharing best practice and keeping up to date with the latest techniques and approaches
- The BA is responsible for working with Key Stakeholders in creating and maintaining standard documentation in support of the above
