Project Manager (IS Security Manager)

Permanent London £70,000 - £80,000 per annum + package

Our client, a leading end user organisation, is looking for a Project Manager (IS Security Manager) to join their team. The Project Manager (IS Security Manager) is responsible for the identification and management of all aspects of cybersecurity risk to our client’s businesses.  This includes policies, standards, processes, user awareness, behaviors, and technical controls. This role will be primarily office-based.


Key Skills & Experience:

  • A passion and enthusiasm for Cyber security
  • Excellent understanding of GRC
  • Experience working alongside key business Stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in dealing with customers, stakeholders and third parties
  • Actively listens and communicates technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences, flexes style to suit the needs of the audience
  • Good technical skills gained in an Infrastructure/Security background
  • Competent with Project Management principles and can reference examples of successes/learning
  • Delivered positive outcomes which have improved security or helped manage risk



  • Security communications and awareness for all our clients businesses
  • Maintain a level of compliance appropriate to our organizational level of risk acceptance
  • Demonstrate to stakeholders that appropriate controls are in place and own/create actions plans to manage improvement or change where necessary
  • Main conduit (Bidirectional) between all external stakeholders and the client relating to security
  • Supporting the I.S Director with Board level awareness and education around the Cybersecurity agenda as needed
  • Look for opportunities to inform, engage or train others to make the best use of Problem and Change management for Security
  • Lead Security problem management/change reviews in order to drive improvement
  • Maintain a continuous improvement program to track and deliver security improvements across all businesses
  • Act as subject matter expert on matters of security relating to legal and regulatory compliance
  • Raise the profile of IT security within the organization by being proactively involved with stakeholders and customers
  • Provide consultation and/or education as needed
  • International travel to client sites as required



  • Security qualifications - CISSP, CISMP etc
  • Degree level education, ideally in an IT, Science or Business-related subject
  • ITIL Awareness / Foundation level
