Senior Business Analyst

Permanent Loughborough £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + benefits

Our leading Manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their busy team as they embark on a large scale digital transformation programme. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between the business and IT teams. We are looking for an individual with strong AS-IS & TO-BE experience coupled with the experience of working in a manufacturing environment or business. Suitable candidates will have strong facilitation and presentation skills and will have the ability to engage and influence key business stakeholders. Significant knowledge of analyst frameworks, business processes and business requirements methodologies will be highly beneficial.

 

Key Skills & Experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years experience of working as a Business Analyst in a demanding business environment, ideally in large scale, long term programmes
  • Extensive knowledge documenting business processes (Pre-Project & standard business analysis throughout the life cycle)
  • Experience of ERP systems desirable
  • Experience of working in Manufacturing sector an advantage
  • Experience of working in a structured project environment is essential
  • Good understanding of structured project methodology (e.g. Prince2)
  • Skilled in use of Visio & standard Business Process Mapping techniques
  • Experience of creating functional specifications, wireframes, data & process flow diagrams
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and deliver in a demanding manufacturing environment
  • Detailed analytical approach
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to influence the business to show how the proposed solutions will deliver benefits and solve the problem identified

 

Responsibilities

  • Capture, prioritise and obtain business sign off for requirement
  • Review and dissect ‘As Is’ process and establish necessary changes required to ensure optimal ‘To Be’ processes are defined
  • Identify Risks, Issues, and Assumptions & Dependencies to the Project Manager with mitigating actions where applicable
  • Develop new processes and ways of working and obtain buy in from business stakeholders
  • Investigate options and provide recommendations in order to facilitate informed decision making
  • Where a new external solution is required, the BA is responsible for establishing a clear, transparent product and supplier selection process, with an agreed set of assessment criteria, so that an objective decision can be reached
  • Advising on cost and benefit estimates to support the justification for new projects
  • Define the functional solution and obtaining buy in and approval from business owners and IT
