Project Management Office (PMO) Manager

Contract UK £500 - £550 per day

Our large end user client is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to play a leading role in their IT Transformation programme. This role is pivotal within the management of the Transformation programme, overseeing and coordinating the planning activities.

 

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience of working within a PMO or large integrated programmes
  • Previous/Current knowledge and exposure with a large ERP i.e. D365, SAP, Oracle, JDE, SAGE
  • Previous line management or supervisory experience
  • Wide ranging business experience covering multiple processes, departments and divisions
  • Organisational change management – experience of implementing charge change
  • Excellent understanding of business, and customer, requirements
  • Project Methodologies
  • Project Governance Frameworks
  • Process reengineering
  • Current systems/technology solutions
  • Current business policies, processes and procedures

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning activities of the programme / project portfolio across the company with a particular focus on the integrated plan that supports the delivery of the core transformation programme
  • Develop and manage project plans (high level, milestone, detailed & integrated) and track progress against plans
  • Coordinating the various partner and business project planning resources to ensure all dependencies and resources are successfully identified and managed efficiently
  • Provide key planning inputs into the prioritisation process for new projects or changes to scope of inflight projects and prepare them for Steering Board or Change Board review/approval
  • Develop other project managers within the team and help further embed planning methodology and project governance with the wider business
  • Surface visibility of all projects and programmes across the group to all key stakeholders to ensure overall alignment of business priorities and resources
  • Identify, manage, report and mitigate project and programme risks and issues
  • Provide direction and any required planning input and support to Change Board / BDA / TDA / best practice groups
  • Manage programme resource plan and track resource levelling and optimization

 

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Appropriate professional qualifications
  • Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner (MSP)

 

Location: UK
