D365 Development/Technical Manager

Permanent Edinburgh £65,000 - £75,000 per annum + package

Our international end-user client have an opportunity for a D365 Development/Technical Manager to join their growing team. The key responsibility for this role is to ensure our clients IT systems can sustain current and future needs; ensuring development, change, operation and support are optimised. The D365 Development/Technical Manager must have experience with D365 - CE, HR, F&O, Project Operations and D365 Portals. This role can be based in either Lancashire or Edinburgh.


Key Skills & Experience:

  • Significant experience managing an IT Systems and Development team in an environment of similar size and complexity 
  • Must have experience with D365 - CE, HR, F&O, Project Operations & D365 Portals
  • Microsoft Power Platform - PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI
  • SharePoint Online, including the migration to SharePoint online
  • Azure, including Azure DevOps
  • Business process mapping
  • Business analysis
  • An experienced IT systems leader
  • Practised in the development and support of IT systems used within a business
  • Requires a strong operational focus and managerial skills, as well as a deep commitment to end-user satisfaction and experience in driving systems improvement



  • Leading the IT Systems function providing training, support, advice and feedback to team members
  • Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across both IT and the business
  • Establishing IT systems performance through metrics, stakeholder engagement and transactional feedback; developing action plans to address areas needing improvement
  • Leveraging systems related best practices and frameworks, to establish and continuously improve IT systems operation and functionality
  • Ensuring IT systems remain within operational standards and governance in regards to currency, security, licencing and budget
  • Preparing cost analyses, budget plans and proposals as needed
  • Ensuring the IT Systems Team operate within Change standards, process and procedures when modifying IT systems
  • Maintaining knowledge of IT systems technology and industry trends
  • Leading major IT systems incident recovery
  • Leading IT systems vendor reviews and managing performance when required


Location:  Edinburgh/Lancashire
