Our leading client requires a Technical Support Developer to join their team. Working within a small and well established team of IT professionals in a pan-European organisation, you will be implementing, configuring, maintaining, and performing the production and non-production of platforms, utilising standard tools as well as internally developed tools to build and support the business in meeting its goals, the role will require a mixture of development (SQL) and operational support.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in the technologies detailed or similar technologies
- Experience with data platforms and repositories (ideally MS SQL Server and OAC/OBIEE)
- Understanding of key integration technologies (e.g. XML, REST).
- Exposure to Microsoft technologies PowerBI, SharePoint, Teams, PowerShell, Power Automate an understanding of cloud technologies
Responsibilities:
- Support, implement, and manage SQL databases, encompassing creation and maintenance of SQL scripts, managing scheduled jobs and troubleshooting using 3rd party tools
- Confident in writing, supporting and maintenance of existing SISS, SSRS, SSAS and T-SQL objects
- Support of our data platform (OAC) including the ability to understand the primary sources of data
- Understand the underlying structures with regards to star schemas and fact tables
- Communicating with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions towards meeting those requests
- Support the activities around performing regular DR tests, as well as environment refreshes
- Document changes to systems
- Implement / enhance existing MS SQL standards
- Work with 3rd party vendors to assure that the services supported are robust and reliable
- Working with 3rd party vendors provide support during release upgrades and deployment activities
- Responsible for data queries
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting with other team members when required
