BI Analyst

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a Global Market Leading organisation! Our UK-based client is looking to recruit a BI Analyst with Cognos experience to join their team. The BI Analyst will provide the day-to-day support for users of the Cognos reporting solution and other BI platforms. Our client is looking for a self-starter who has the ability to work to fixed deadlines. This is a West Midlands-based role, with remote working on offer.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience of IBM Cognos reporting solution, preferably Cognos Analytics or familiarity with other BI technologies.
• Experience of Microsoft SharePoint platforms, SQL Server is desirable.
• A self-starter, able work under own initiative.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentational skills and effective team worker.
• The ability to work to fixed deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day support for users of the Cognos reporting solution and other BI platforms.
• Analysis, Design and Implementation of BI solutions to meet Internal and External Customer needs, including integration of databases.
• Design and deliver end-user training and supporting materials.
• Presenting information through reports and visualizations.
• Develop and update technical documentation.
• Develop and create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes, relationally modelled data, relational data bases)
