Our client, a UK based global end user, is currently seeking a D365 F&O Functional Data Migration Consultant. The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for owning the overall solution architecture for D365 and working with our client’s implementation partners and internal teams in support of D365 deployment and maintenance projects.

Candidates must have strong experience across both Finance and Project Operations in D365.

The role will involve a mix of remote and on-site working in central London on a weekly basis.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • In Depth D365 Business Rules experience in F&SCM and Project Ops.
  • In Depth knowledge of SQL.
  • Attention to detail, data driven, patience, and with problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in Finance ERP Data Migration teams – Including ETL building.
  • Experience working in a broad range of IT and business projects throughout the project lifecycle, with understanding of project management practices.
  • Experience working within Project accounting.
  • Experience working with external systems implementation partners.
  • Experience working within Finance ‘business as usual’ roles as well as in Finance project delivery.
  • Ability to work with and manage a range of senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to flex your communication and engagement approach/style to reflect the different priorities and needs of different stakeholder groups.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change.
  • Able to navigate a degree of ambiguity.
  • Keen to collaborate with others, knowing that the best results come from pooling ideas, experience and expertise.
  • Focused on problem solving – able to recognize how issues and challenges have come about, but more interested in solving them than admiring the problem.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent the business’ requirements for Data Migration through the Business Rules process and Field Mapping documents.
  • Support with drafting Field Mapping documents.
  • Generate and Document the Data sets following the Field Mapping and Business Rules.
  • Validate the Data Set generated from the Business Rules and Field mapping including testing.
  • Keep ADO updated with latest status. (Other project management tool experience will also be considered).
  • Support the QA workstream through the review of test scripts & provision of feedback.
  • Support the Data Migration workstream with the correct migration of financial data, including general technical accounting support and supporting the definition of business rules, and testing migrated data to validate accounting rule alignment.
  • Preparation of all documentation required by the auditors from the DM stream.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and sprint reviews to provide insights and clarification on business requirements, as well as address any questions or concerns from development teams.

Location: Hybrid / London
