Our leading boutique partner client are looking for a D365 F&O Test Lead to oversee and manage all aspects of testing within ERP implementation projects. This role involves leading testing teams – comprised of the client and client team members and test analysts, developing, managing and executing test strategies, plans and activities for all aspects of ERP implementation projects, and ensuring that all aspects of ERP implementation projects meet business, functional, technical and non-functional requirements before they are deployed.

The role will require someone 2-3 days a week on site just South of London.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a test lead or management role.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems and testing of ERP modules.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Microsoft Azure DevOps).
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required to ensure effective project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for all testing phases and activities of Dynamics 365 projects.
• Ensure test plans are aligned with project goals and quality standards.
• Lead and manage the design and documentation of detailed test cases and test scripts in line with business requirements.
• Lead and manage the execution of test cases, document results, and track defects.
• Lead and mentor a team of testers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct regular reviews of test cases and provide feedback to team members.
• Identify, document, and track defects and bugs using a defect management tool.
• Lead triage and resolution planning and execution of bugs and defects.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and ensure timely defect and bug resolution.
• Monitor and report on test progress, coverage, and defect / bug status.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing activities and outcomes.
• Lead all stakeholders, meetings and activities related to Dynamics 365 Test activities.
• Ensure testing activities comply with established policies, procedures, and standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
• Coordinate and support user acceptance testing activities.
• Gather and document feedback from end users to ensure the solution meets their needs.
