The role of Finance Digital Transformation Manager is to use digital tools and capabilities to lead transformation, modernise and optimise financial processes in the organisation. This role requires a blend of strong financial accounting, planning and analysis expertise, collaboration, and influencing skills, along with a sound knowledge of business intelligence technologies, to drive strategic initiatives, champion automation, and enhance data governance practices.

Working closely with Business unit FP&A teams, Group Accounting and Finance, and IT’s Data as a Service function, this role acts as a key bridge between finance and technology. It drives improvements in accounting, planning and reporting processes and analytics capabilities while enabling teams to adopt modern tools and approaches effectively.

You will lead a team of 3 and you will partner with business unit finance teams to deliver scalable planning and reporting solutions.

This role will require candidates to be on site 1-2 days a week in Cheshire and candidates must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years post-qualified experience.
  • Proven experience in finance digital transformation, creating value through process reengineering utilising BI and automation tools.
  • Proven experience in managing financial reporting and analytics functions, with expertise in tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing teams responsible for reporting, analytics, and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles, including data ownership, quality management, and integration.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with experience working in a matrixed organisation.

Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining a finance digital transformation strategy:

  • Create and execute a comprehensive strategy, aligning with the company’s broader business goals, for financial process optimization, automation and technological enhancements.
  • Lead and manage finance transformation projects from inception to completion

Technology implementation:

  • Oversee the selection and integration of new financial technologies and systems.

Reporting and Analytics Management:

  • Develop and maintain centralised analytics capabilities, including Power BI dashboards and other finance system-based reporting solutions.
  • Standardise reporting templates and methodologies to improve consistency and usability across business units.
  • Introduce advanced analytical capabilities, such as predictive models and scenario analysis, to enhance insight generation.

Data Governance and Quality:

  • Collaborate with IT, Group Accounting and Finance, and business unit FP&A teams to ensure data quality, accessibility, and governance across financial and operational datasets.
  • Oversee financial hierarchies, reporting structures, and KPI definitions to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Championing Analytics:

  • Advocate for automation and analytics adoption in financial workflows to improve efficiency and insight generation.
  • Collaborate with IT and data specialists to align technical solutions with Finance objectives.
  • Lead discussions to identify and prioritise opportunities for automation and analytics.

Training and Enablement:

  • Provide training and support to finance teams on effectively using reporting tools and methodologies.
  • Enable teams to leverage centralised data and analytics tools to improve decision-making processes.

Collaboration, Leadership and Change Management:

  • Build strong relationships across finance, IT, and business units, becoming a trusted advisor on finance digital transformation.
  • Use gravitas and influencing skills to gain buy-in for initiatives that improve finance capabilities and efficiency.
  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.

Location: Cheshire & hybrid
