Power BI Analyst – D365, Dynamics 365, D365 FO, Oracle, SAP, ERP, NetSuite, Finance Analyst, reporting, Power BI, DAX, Power BI Analyst, finance, financials, Dynamics ERP, finance manager, CIMA, ACA, ACCA, Accountant – UK Remote & Cheshire – £60-70k plus bonus and benefits

Our global end user client are looking for a Power BI Analyst to join them on a permanent basis. The core focus of the role will be on eliciting requirements from finance teams globally and then creating PowerBI reports to enable the business to make better informed decisions.

Candidates need to have strong experience with DAX and PowerBI reports development. A finance background or qualification (e.g. ACCA or CIMA) and a desire to work within/with finance teams is highly desirable.

The role will initially involve 2 days per week on-site in Cheshire, but over time will become more remote based.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience creating measures and bringing new data sources into semantic models
• Technical Skills: Extensive and demonstratable experience creating Power BI reports and dashboards with a solid understanding of data flow, relationships and structures.
• Financial Skills are highly preferred, e.g. Experience in financial reporting of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements with ability to identify trends, drivers and provide insightful narrative
• Continual Improvement: Proven experiences in system and process development, implementation or improvement.
• Project Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, self-managing your own time, reliant resources and stakeholder expectations.
• Communication Skills: Solid written and verbal communicator with strong presentational skills.
• Attributes: Methodical and highly analytical, innovative problem solver with a focus on quality and accuracy. Ability to work autonomously with exceptional presentational and communication skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field. MBA or ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification highly preferred.

Main Responsibilities:

• Drive business value through insight by developing best in class financial reporting in Power BI, utilising data from our BI managed Data Warehouse and Finance/Business Systems.
• Training and Documentation: Support with documentation of current and new reports, including technical model reviews, training videos and associated material, plus the identification of future improvements and requirements
• Data & Process Improvement: Drive simplification and standardization in data management, governance, reporting tools, and forecasting processes
• Systems Maintenance: Support in the maintenance and upkeep of our reporting structures and hierarchies

Location: UK & hybrid
